Well, bad news on the pump front. With the recent precip and the current freeze/thaw cycle the track will not be workable this weekend. Major bummer, but it is just a setback. Most of the hardwork has been done by the machine. Just need to get some manpower over here at a later date.  Thanks and sorry to all that already committed their Sunday afternoon.  I will be looking at a date after the new year and get back to everyone.  In the meantime, if anyone has a line on getting some dirt delivered, we can use all we can get. Did someone say pumptrack? After years of consideration, I have made the leap. My back yard has been terraced to accommodate a test bed for potential implementation  at a county park. The opportunity has presented itself and I felt it pertinent to perfect something before installing in a public park. If anyone is interested in construction and a session I will be having a workday. Beginning at noon on december 5 we will be sculpting, tamping, riding, drinking, eating and general frivolity at my house located in crestwood, near Grant’s Farm. The design can be found at International Pumptrack Standards if you interested in the scope of work, pre-workday. If anyone knows of clean fill, I can use it prior to the workday. Unfortunately, I have no way to haul dirt, but the dig site is accessible to dump on via truck, weather permitting (firm ground).  Feel free to bring your favorite shovel  and/or tamper, gloves, and bike. My back yard is kid friendly and we have a small play area. I will be providing beer and grilled meats. Pre work meeting at 11:30 and digging will commence around noon. long time coming...

i know that i have been talking about this for a long time. i almost built one for a county park. i thought that it would be better to build one in my yard first. today i finally made the leap with the help of a bobcat s300now we have a rough 30X60 blank slate graded and ready to build on. should look something like this clickety! when we are done. anyone want to have a bring your own shovel bbq?
